We decided to make ice cream and got everything ready.....one problem, our ice cream maker was broken. Kris told us that she had read in a cookbook how to make ice cream in zip-lock baggies. We poured the liquid ingredients into one bag and then put that bag into another one that had the rock salt and ice. Then the fun began - we had the kids each take a bag and shake and shake and shake the bag until the consistency looked like ice cream. WOW! It really works!!! We made starlite mint icream and the kids got to make their own!!!

It looks yummy. We made ice cream that way for a young women activity once.
I have heard of making ice cream that way, but have never tried it. I definitely want your recipe for the mint chocolate chip kind...yum!
