HE'S A TEENAGER NOW!

I can't believe my baby is now a teenager.....WOW!! Time sure does fly. I am so proud of who this boy is becoming - he makes his mom smile! Currently he is in the 7th grade and has straight A's with the end of term being yesterday. He plays running back on his football team who is undefeated going into the playoffs this next week. He also plays on several baseball teams and plays the position of pitcher and short stop. He still loves his mom and isn't afraid to show her affection in front of his friends.....that's my boy!
Tonight we are having a big party and have rented out his favorite gym for him and all his friends and family to run around in. We had Taylir's Sweet Sixteen party here last night and had a houseful of teenagers - it was so awesome!! But we're ready to party it up again tonight!
I LOVE YOU CARSY BOY AND HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!

HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN TAYLIR!!!

Taylir is that awesome age where she will tell me she is going to "absolutely die" because I posted all these pictures of her on our blog. Isn't she a cutie???!!!! She is such a perfect daughter and such a joy to have around. She is super busy these days and such an over-achiever. Yesterday her cross country team took first place at STATE!!!!! Both the boys and the girls team placed first. Besides cross country, she is still taking violin lessons and playing in the orchestra at school. In her little spare time she is usually with her friends and doing the typical teenage girl stuff. (BTW, her bedroom cleaning skills are improving!)

Happy Birthday Tay Tay.............WE LOVE YOU!

Region Cross Country

Yesterday Taylir competed in Region Cross Country and she did FANTASTIC! She placed 3rd running for the Junior Varsity Team out of approximately 150 girls. She was very pleased with her time of 21 minutes, 31 seconds. This course is a very difficult one with a lot of grassy hills and she beat her time from last year and the other time from earlier in the season.
Tay is loving cross country and the kids she associates with. She has made some really good friends and we have had fun ourselves getting to know them all.

Here she is coming across the finish line.............YEA TAYLIR!!!

WAY TO GO COLTON!!!!

Conference Weekend

Our family spent Conference Weekend at my parents house in St. George. We had a great time and loved being with each other.

On Saturday evening the boys in the family attended the Saturday evening session at my parents Stake Center. Afterwards the girls joined in with the boys and got together with my Uncle Bill and Aunt LaWanna and their family for ice cream.

Sunday we all enjoyed laying around the house and listening to the sessions in jammies or comfortable clothes instead of being all dressed up in our sunday best. Gotta love conference attire!

While in St. George, of course a visit to the Narrows is always a MUST!
Anytime Mark and I tried having our picture taken, the dogs wouldn't stay out of the picture and we were always telling them to get out! It's great to be loved so much but not when it comes to being alone in a picture with your honey!

What a wonderful Conference Weekend! Thanks Grammy and Papa for being such awesome hosts!

A Great Night With a Great Friend

Last week me and my girlfriend Sandra went to the Utah Jazz' first pre-season game against the Denver Nuggets. I hadn't been to a Jazz game in a few years and was looking forward to going, especially since it was with one of my most favorite people. She is one of "THE SMITHFIELD GIRLS" that so many people hear me talk about. I love love love her and she is so much fun to be with. She is and will be a life-long friend!

We were really excited to watch the game but even more to visit and catch up since we live a few hours apart from each other and don't get together as often as we would like. Even though we did watch some of the game, when it was over we asked each other if there had been a basketball game going on????? We both love to people watch and just talk talk talk and there was a lot of both going on. I did take a few pictures of the game for the kids' sake and thought I got a pretty good one of Boozer taking a shot.
What a fun night I had............Love ya Sandra!
